The empty circle in the centre of the dome of the Pantheon, the oculus (eye) has two purposes. One is to let the light in. There are only two sources of light in the rotunda of the Pantheon: the entrance and the oculus, The other is to contribute to decreasing the weight of the dome. It is still the largest unreinforced concrete dome in the world. Nowadays there are domes which are bigger than that of the Pantheon. However, they are made of reinforced concrete. To manage to make such a large dome (its diameter is 43.3 metres, 142 ft.) with unreinforced concrete, its weight needed to kept to a minimum. If fact, this gigantic structure amazingly weighs only five tons.

To achieve this, different types of aggregate were used. Roman concrete was made by mixing lime with a volcanic rock called pozzolana. This created a binder to which an aggregate was added to give it mass. The dome of the pantheon is 6.4 metres (21 ft.) thick at the bottom and crushed travertine rock was used as an aggregate. As it goes upwards, the dome becomes thinner and is 1.2 metres (3.9 ft.) thick at the top. Besides getting thinner, the aggregate changes. In the mid-section of the dome it is crushed terracotta tiles, which are lighter. In the top section it is made of crushed tuff and pomice, which are porous stones which are even lighter. Finally, the oculus makes the apex weightless. It has been calculated at without these weight-saving techniques the stresses on dome would be 80% higher and it would collapse under its weight. Roan concrete was a though as modern concrete, but it was less fluid and had to be layered by hand.

What games did the Mayans play?

They played a game called Po-ka-tok but only the nobles could play. Sometimes they would play to the death. They sometimes used the losers head. You could only use your elbows, knees, and hips and you had to score into a 30ft high stone hoop. Sometimes the first one to score was the winner because the games lasted so long. The loser was sacrificed. The Aztecs had a similar game, but it was still different and it was called Tlotchli.

How far did they bury Mummies and did they really stick a hook up the mummy's nose and pull their brains out with the hook?

Assuming the question is about Egyptian mummies, the depth the mummy was buried depended on the family's wealth and social status. Only the more wealthy people could afford the full mummification process. Poorer people were buried in shallow desert graves, where dryness of the desert would create a natural mummy. The wealthier mummies would be interred in tombs, the most commonly recognised tomb is the mastaba, the body buried deep (~30ft) below the ground, the shaft blocked up by rocks. As for the mummification process - yes, the brain was removed. the Egyptians did not know what purpose the brain functioned, they believed that thought and personality lived in the heart. To avoid damaging the head, the brain was pulverised using a hook on a wire, and removed through the nasal cavity.

What weapons did ancient Greeks use?

The ancient Greeks in, say, the Golden Age of ancient Greece, used: A bronze breastplate (=failaxe), a Bronze helmet (=kranos), a leather shield coated with bronze (=aspis) and kneepads (=periknimides) As offensive weapons they used an iron short sword(=xifos) about 40-50cm long, a heavy spear(=dory) 8 feet long, made of oak with an iron tip which was used for close combat, a light spear(=akondio) made for throwing. Other throwing weapons used at the time were the longbow(=toxo) and the sling(=sfendona). In the era of Alexander the Great, a new offensive weapon was introduced, the sarrisa, which was a 30ft long spear.

How many 60 round tables will fit in a 30ft by 30ft room?

To determine how many 60-inch round tables will fit in a 30ft by 30ft room, first convert the room dimensions to inches: 30 feet is 360 inches. The area of the room is 360 inches by 360 inches, totaling 129,600 square inches. Each 60-inch round table has a diameter of 60 inches, so it occupies about 2,827 square inches (using the formula for the area of a circle, A = πr²). However, considering space for movement and arrangement, realistically, around 9 to 12 tables could comfortably fit in the room, depending on the layout.
