the west africans were colored people and they were hard workers. They were choosen as slaves because they were well expirence, and they had skills to do the work, they were used to the tropical heat. The African was captured in large amounts, after a few days later they started to die from overwork and old world diseases and some was sold
because they were geographically closer to the U.S.A. etc, otherwise the slave ships would have to navigate around the cape of good hope (South Africa) to reach the East coast of Africa. Navigating around the Cape of good hope was not a good idea back then.
West Africa was closer to the slave owners so it was more convinient.
Africans were chosen to be slaves because they had different skin color than white people, so black people were treated differently.
The majtority of the trade routes went past west Africa rather than East Africa. that and people in the east (Asia and India) didnt need slaves they had a population which were as good as. it was westerners like English, American, and so on who needed slaves.

How did british try to persuade enslaved africans?

The question is incomplete; it needs whatever action the British persuaded enslaved Africans to perform. If it asking about slavery in general, the British did not "persuade" the Africans to be slaves. They received them in chains from rival African Kingdoms or Tribes that had already enslaved them and the British used force to compel them to remain in slavery.

When did Europeans and Africans came to America?

The first Africans as slaves, are introduced in America. A Dutch trader exchanges his cargo of 20 Africans for food in Jamestown Virginia, in August of 1619. It is believed that these Africans were sold into conditions similar to indentured servitude - a common practice in England and colonial America. The American slavery system became more developed and codified in its inhumane treatment around 1680. Did you mean America, as in the United States of America? Because all of the land mass south of the United States of America, is also America. The Iberians (Spanish and Portuguese) brought African slaves not long after they "discovered" the Americas in 1492. So it was in the 1500's.
