World War I didn't end all wars because it made a harsh peace treaty at the end called the treaty of versailles. It said that Germany had to pay for all of what it cost for every country. This caused Germany to become economically unstable, and hired a dictator to help Germany. Yes, it was Adolf Hitler.

The Treaty of Versailles made the Germans pay for everyones debts in the war and put all the blame on Germany. Germans don't like unfair treaties, but they had no army to retaliate with. Hitler and the German people did not want Germany to be a weak country, because before WWI it was a super power. WWI led right into WWII. The Great War was so terrible and so many people died that it was unbelievable that similar events could happen again. little did they know how history repeats itself.
