∙ 11y agoThe Romans never invaded France. In the time of the Romans France did not exist. The Romans, under Julius Caesar, didinvade the territory known as Gaul a part of which became France in later years. The reason that the Romans invaded Gaul was because they had been enemies for years and boarder raids were becoming too frequent for Rome's tolerance. Caesar invaded in response to a request for aid.
