Well, isn't that a lovely question! If we take a moment to appreciate the beauty of numbers, we can see that it has been about 1456 years since AD 565. Time has a way of flowing like a gentle stream, bringing new colors and experiences along its path.

Who was the best Roman Emperor?

There have been many Emperors through the ages, including the Emperors of Rome, the Chinese and Japanese Emperors, and the Emperors of Africa, France, Britain, Bulgaria, Germany, India and Russia.Indian Emperor, Ashoka the Great (304 BCE - 232 BCE) is often cited as the world's greatest emperor of all time.Of course, we need to ask, 'By what criteria should we define greatness?', and, 'What does 'Emperor' mean?' If Emperor means an absolute monarch of an empire, then maybe we should take a wider view of the question, and consider who was/is the greatest ruler of all time?Which ever ways we approach the question, opinions will doubtless differ. With regard to our present time, there are no Emperors alive today except Japan's Emperor Akihito (1933- )For more information, see 'Related links' below this box.----

What are the problems in rome?

Everyone has problems. The history of ancient Rome lasted 1,200 years. The kind of problems the Romans had changed greatly over the course of the centuries.OpinionOne problem was keeping abreast of the laws. Roman Law has an extremely complex history. Until around 450 BCE Roman Law was structured around religion (believed to be the Etruscan religion). Problems were taken up with the local religious leader. The wealthy had an advantage over the lower classes.Next the Twelve Tablets evolved making people equal before the law and they only applied to Roman citizens. They lasted in original form until about 100 BCE and were modified and rewritten repeatedly until about 565 CE. The laws were constantly changing as Rome expanded and emperors came and went. Constantine made law and codified it in part, Justinian came to power in 527 CE and was the first to codify the full body of law.As the Empire grew, hundreds of rulers added and changed the laws according to their personal views and origins. There was no instant communication at that time for disbursing changes in the law and no method of printing and distributing up to date copies. Therefore, in many cases, it was extremely difficult, if not impossible, to enforce or avail oneself of the law at any given time.Despite the problems, Roman law was effective and formed the basis for much modern law.

Why is roman law so important to us?

It's important because our society has many laws that the Romans had. For example, the Romans could not be executed if they had not been convicted, and that is law we follow also. Also, when at court, the Romans used a jury to convict someone, which we also do. My last point is that we have the right to own land, as the Romans also did. As long as we don't disobey any of the other laws, we can do whatever we want in our property, just like the Romans.
