∙ 6y agoNo advantages at all. The Middle Ages were a dangerous time for women. They were often raped, beaten up, and made to go to a nunnery. A woman had no rights or power and were under the control of men. They couldn’t own land, go to school, have a business and if left alone often had to resort to prostitution to live. The Camelot type of view of the Middle Ages is not reality. One of the few women who managed to keep her property and have power was Catherine of Aragon. She went on a crusade, kept her dowry properties, had 3 sons become king and was the wife of 2 kings.
