The title assumed by all Roman emperors was Caesar. Even though it was originally a family name, after the Julio-Claudian dynasty, it became the designation for the leader. Augustus was also an honorary title given to all emperors, but he was referred to as Caesar in his all his official dealings.
The Roman empresses originally had no title. Livia, the widow of Augustus was granted the title "Augusta" and that's as far as it went. There may have been some women who used the title in the later part of the empire, but it was not "official", that is, granted by the senate.

Antony went with Cleopatra to Egypt. Later Antony and Cleopatra committed suicide. Octavian restored some aspect of the republic. he became the unchallenged ruler of Rome. Eventually he accepted the title of Augustus.
