People have different traditions. This is one of them. I remember as a child being so excited about Christmas coming and impatient with waiting that my parents let my sisters and me open one present each on Christmas Eve. It helped a bit, and did little to reduce the excitement for the actual day.
Some people open one gift on Christmas Eve and some don't. Whatever your family does is what you need to do.
Totally! There are no rules! [:
if you want to
Traditionally they are opened on Christmas Day. Some people may open some on Christmas Eve but there is no particular time to do so.
In Russia, one tradition is to open one present on Christmas Eve.
If you're a little kid, you open them as soon as your mom and dad get up and join you. If you're older, you usually wait until after breakfast or even lunch, whenever everyone is gathered together.
"America" "don't."Some families open presents on Christmas Eve. Some families open them on Christmas Day (usually, but not necessarily, in the morning). Some families open one present on Christmas Eve and the rest on Christmas Day. Some families don't believe in giving Christmas presents at all. Some families open presents from immediate family on Christmas Eve, then travel to the house of an extended family member (perhaps grandparents) on Christmas Day and open presents from the extended family there. Maybe they go to the dad's parents' house on Christmas Eve and open packages from them there, then go to the mom's parents' house on Christmas Day and open packages from them there. Why anyone does anything is generally "because that's the way they want to do it". There's certainly no law requiring the practice. Whatever works for your family works for your family.
No, some people open their presents on Christmas Day, some on Christmas Eve.
One per person, all of the rest of your gifts should not be open until Christmas Day.
They open them on Christmas day, the 25th. However some parents let their kids open one small gift as well on the 24th, Christmas eve.
yes they are it depends on which one
I would divide it into both: have a feast on both days, and everyone opens one gift on Christmas eve, while they open all of the other gifts on Christmas day, for instance.
