Christmas Islands is a territory of Australia in the Indian Ocean. It's called Christmas Island because it was discovered on Christmas Day. Due to its location, there exists a mixture of religions that are practiced in the island, with the majority being Buddhists, so Christmas isn't really a holiday that is celebrated by many people in there. However, most tourist usually don't come to the island to celebrate Christmas, but to admire and enjoy its exotic fauna and flora.
