Traditionally in the United States, sweet potatoes and cranberries are two vegetables that are eaten as part of a big Christmas dinner, with either turkey or ham (or both) as the meat. Other vegetables that are popular are mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, baked beans, corn, and salads with lettuce and other vegetables. Pumpkin pie is eaten for desert. Though not vegetables, stuffing, deviled eggs, and fruits and fruit salads are also popular, and Pecan Pie and mince meat pies and fruitcakes are, too.
