* Most churches no longer like rice and especially do not like confetti (which was the preferred choice at one time.) One of the nicest things I've seen is to get a bottom of bubble maker for each guests (the kids love it and so do the adults) and when the ceremony is over all the guests blow the bubbles. It's pretty, neat and no clean up. Also another possibility is having balloons ready at the door for the guests and when the bride and groom come outside the church everyone can let their balloons go. Personally, the bubbles are far more fun and it's popular in Canada. * Just a note on the above: please only use the bubbles outdoors. Banquet halls hate them because they leave permanent stains on the walls and draperies.
