In "Silent Hill" for the PSX, the channeling stone is used to unlock the door to the "Otherworld" version of the Midwich Elementary School. After obtaining the channeling stone, you must go to the door marked with a symbol of a sun, located in the school. Use the stone on the door to transition into the Otherworld and progress further in the game.
