Wear your poppy on the left (above the heart) xoxo
The accepted side to wear a poppy is the left, as practiced by Canadian Military, however, it is not considered offensive to wear a poppy anywhere else on your body. The fact you are wearing one is what counts. Lest we forget. Male or female...left or right handed...the poppy must be worn on left side...as in above the heart.
Airmen wear the poppy on the right side as a symbol of remembrance for those who have served and sacrificed in military conflicts. This tradition emphasizes the importance of honoring those who have fallen, particularly in the context of the Royal British Legion and its Poppy Appeal. Wearing the poppy on the right side also distinguishes it from other military insignia, which are typically worn on the left.
The poppy is worn above the heart which would be the left side. Some service people wear it on the left side of their tams or hats. It always should be on the left side over the heart to respect those that have fought in wars previous and present and even those that made it home. It's an honor!
The poppy should be worn on the left hand side. The leaf should be worn at the 11 o'clock position to signify the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month...the day war ended and the day we all remember.
You wear the poppy on the left side ONLY
It's the equivalent of the poppy, and is worn to celebrate Armistice Day.
You don't use the green one anymore. It represented the green fields in France and they stopped using it in 2002. You should be using the black center and buying a new poppy (or donating) every year :)
It doesn't matter.
