This question does not just refer to Jehovah's Witnesses.

Halloween is seen by all Christians as a pagan festival that celebrates all that is evil. Whilst in the USA (especially) and increasingly in the UK, many see nothing wrong in dressing up as witches, ghouls, and anything particularly nasty, the question is this:

If, say, a paedophile had some badge of honour or some dress code that immediately identified him/her as a paedophile, would you be happy dressing up your own children in such clothes as a celebration of all thet the paedophile thinks and does?

I guess not. Yet many parents see nothing wrong in dressing up their children in ghoulish clothes, witches' costumes, and generally anything that symbolises the opposite of that which is good and wholesome. Pagan beliefs speak out against God and all that God, in his ultimate goodness, stands for, and yet in the USA especially, a country that boasts a high proportion of churchgoers, this very paganism and evil is celebrated. Parents also see nothing wrong with sending their children out 'trick or treating', which is, let's face it, legalised blackmail, and teaches children that it is OK to make threats to get what you want.

Many would say that the Halloween celebrations are 'harmless' but most Christians would disagree. Most Christians love a party - at Christmas, Easter, birthdays and so on (despite Jehovah's Witnesses not allowing them) and that is right and proper - as Jesus himself loved having a good time with his friends and those to whom he ministered, but the celebration of a Godly festival is one thing, but the celebration of all that is evil is not just dangerous and harmful, it is plain wrong. And that is why the Christian Church is against Halloween and always will be.

What kind of people mostly celebrate Halloween?

almost all kinds of people do. Jewish, americans and even christians. halloween isnt bad to celebrate because halloween is about a kids imagination.dracula, mummies and more were just peoples imagination of what they think. christians dont have to celebrate it, but i think they should. maybe not go trick or treating but dress up at school, put decorations, and more. my dad told me not to celebrate halloween because it was the devils birthday. no its not. after i showed my dad videos, and other answer to what halloween is reallly about, he let me dress up for it.ok he didnt say i could go trick or treating, but im happy. i think kids should feel free on halloween and have fun. isnt that how you want your child to be? now back to what i was saying many people celebrate halloween. some dont, its doesnt matter about scary stuff, what matters is that your child has an IMAGINATION.thank you for reading.
