When he couldn't find one he liked 100%, he decided to create his own bicycle company, "Hoffman Bikes". Originally, the bikes were made by SE Racing (the prototype Hoffman used a year previously was a Kastan). In 1993, Hoffman started making his own frames in Oklahoma City, In 1995, lower priced Hoffman frames made in Taiwan were made available.
