Bicycle rims are NOT aerospoke specific. Any wheels can be laced with either round or "flat" areospokes.
If you require a rims replacement; contact your LBS (Local Bike Shop) for the current options.
If you're building a new bicycle wheel using aerospokes; be aware that not all wheel hubs will work with every aerospoke brand/make- as they are size specific.
Your LBS can explain your options.
One can purchase Aerospoke wheels from the official Aerospoke website by simply clicking on the 'Store' link. One can also buy a number of their items from eBay.

How do you straighten a wheel rim? You don't. There are some companies that repair aluminum rims. If it is a steel rim, throw it away and buy a new one. Check with your local junk yard for a good used rim if your short on cash.
Sure. There are both front (74mm OLD) and rear Aerospokes in 406.
No, buy .50 Action Express, much more stopping power.
Your best bet is to just just buy a new tire & rim combo rather then trying to replace the rim only. The amount of work and cost wouldn't be worth it.
I don't know of any complete bikes being build in Michagan, but the excellent wheel brand Aerospoke is made there.
