There were actually 3 World Series that featured an all California-only World Series, one was in 1974 in which the Los Angeles Dodgers had met up with the Oakland Athletics however the Oakland Athletics bested them by beating them in a total of five games and the other was in 1988 in which the Los Angeles Dodgers met up with the Oakland Athletics again but this time the Dodgers themselves bested Oakland in five games and another one happened in 2002 which was when the Giants and Anaheim Angels met and the Angels defeated the Giants in 7 games.
