What is the difference between a prediction and a guess?

The difference between a prediction and a guess is slightly diffrent. It is not that diffrent. Now a guess is less spicific and you can ask someone to guess and they can come up with way diffrent things than the ones you had in mind. However a prediction is more specific. A prediction is more on topic, the way you ask someone to predict something has to do a lot with staying on topic. This is why asking someone to predict something is more correct than asking someone to guess. This comes in hanndy a lot in a science lab or a scientific talk. However it is a profesiona and correctly mannered way of saing something refering to guesses and predictions. Let me give you an example: guess: -Hey we are doing an experiment and I guessed that the coke would exploed. Prediction: -I predicted that the coke would explode with the componts then we would have pieces of can go everywere. Now think of that wich one sounds more scientific and prfoesional?
