The difference between a prediction and a guess is slightly diffrent. It is not that diffrent. Now a guess is less spicific and you can ask someone to guess and they can come up with way diffrent things than the ones you had in mind. However a prediction is more specific. A prediction is more on topic, the way you ask someone to predict something has to do a lot with staying on topic. This is why asking someone to predict something is more correct than asking someone to guess. This comes in hanndy a lot in a science lab or a scientific talk. However it is a profesiona and correctly mannered way of saing something refering to guesses and predictions. Let me give you an example:

guess: -Hey we are doing an experiment and I guessed that the coke would exploed.

Prediction: -I predicted that the coke would explode with the componts then we would have pieces of can go everywere.

Now think of that wich one sounds more scientific and prfoesional?

What's the difference between guess and predict?

Guessing involves making a random or estimated assumption without much evidence or reasoning, while predicting involves using available information and data to make an informed forecast or projection about a future event or outcome. Guessing is more based on intuition or luck, whereas predicting is grounded in analysis and reasoning.

What is the difference between information and information?

It seems like there is a typo in your question. However, if you meant to ask about the difference between "information" and "data," data refers to raw facts and statistics, while information is processed data that has meaning and context.

What does theories predictions and evidence mean in Science?

theory- Studying something then making a prediction. Then you study a little bit more and thinking your THEORY was right. so theory and prediction are almost the same thing. Prediction- The difference between theory and prediction is that a prediction is a guess it isn't exactly right but you think it might happen. Evidence- Is what you need to make sure your THEORY is correct.

What is a guess or prediction?

"Guess" and "prediction" are two different words. "Guess" means to suppose (something) without any sufficient information. However, "prediction" means to guess what will happen next with the information that is already known. Basically, it is an educated guess.

What is the difference between a judgment and a prediction?

The only difference is between a prediction made by a man and a prediction of God

How is a prediction different to a guess?

A prediction is an educated guess. When you predict, you use the information you know to guess what will happen next. A guess means to "suppose (something) without sufficient information."

How do you make a prediction about Julie in Julie of the Wolves?

A prediction is a guess. When you hear that the story is about a girl that runs away and lives with wolves, you might guess that this is not going to be easy. You might guess that she may be harmed by the wolves. No prediction is wrong. It is just your best guess.

What is the difference between hypothesis and prediction?

Hypothesis is the aim of the experiment. It could be to see if there is a colour change when mixing two chemicals together. Prediction is just a guess, which could be based on evidence, data or just a wild guess. You could predict that there would be no change in colour when the two chemicals are mixed together.

What is hypothesis and prediction or are the responsible variables?

Hypothesis is more of a scientific guess while prediction is a more of a guess based on experience.

How does a hypothesis compare to an inference and a prediction?

A hypothesis is an educated guess where as an inference or prediction is just a guess with little knowledge behind your answer.

What is a prediction about the outcome of the experiment?

The prediction about the outcome of an experiment is a hypothesis. It is basically an educated guess, and you see if your guess comes true or not.

What is the relationship between hypotheses and predictions?

A prediction is a reasonable guess or explanation. A hypothesis is theory; a reasonable idea.

What is difference between hyphothesis and prediction?

Really, there is no difference except for the name, and the fact that a hypothesis is a bit more formal.
