The Milkfish, Chanos chanos, is the only surviving member of the Family Chanidae. Its Hawaiian name is awa.
Hornets are in the same family as wasps, vespidae. The exact latin name depends on the variety of hornet. For example, the European hornet is vespa crabro, and the white-faced hornet is vespa maculata.
Perhaps the best-known of the non-parasitic flatworms ka planaria are the brown-colored Dugesia tigrina, and the black-colored Dugesia dorotocephala and Planaria maculata.
