Everest Textile, a research and development based textile organization based in Taiwan has developed and launched the world's thinnest 5 Denier nylon fabric.

A garment made from it is only thirty-five grams in weight and gives a feeling of not wearing any clothes.

The fabric is windproof, sprinkle-proof and breathable and it can be folded and put into pocket, so it is suitable for cycling and outdoor activities.

According to a R&D expert from Everest, the fabric satisfies user's expectations and due to its light weight, also reduces waste and energy consumption.

Also research Aerogels its another light material not sure if its a fabric how ever its made of 90% air

it has been used on clothes, but is used more as an industrial thermal insulator
