To fix damaged or stripped bolt threads, you can use a thread repair kit or a tap and die set to rethread the bolt. First, clean the damaged threads with a wire brush. Then, use the appropriate tool to carefully rethread the bolt. Be sure to use the correct size and pitch for the bolt to ensure a proper fit.
To fix threads on a bolt, you can use a thread tap to clean or re-cut the damaged threads. This tool helps to restore the proper shape and size of the threads on the bolt, allowing it to securely fasten with nuts or other components.
To fix stripped pedal threads on your bike, you can use a pedal tap to rethread the damaged area. Make sure to clean the threads before tapping and apply grease to prevent future stripping. If the damage is severe, consider using a helicoil insert for a more permanent fix.
To fix a stripped bolt head, you can try using a rubber band or a piece of steel wool to create more grip, or use a specialized tool like a bolt extractor or a tap and die set to remove the stripped bolt.
No way to fix that - your tank is scrap.
If the sensor is stripped you will have to replace it. If the fitting or hole it threads into is stripped it is likely you can make oversize threads and use a fitting called a bushing to repair it. Mind you I got desperate one night and epoxied one in. Its still working but if I ever have to change it I am toast.
Heli-Coil
You have a few options. I it is not stripped just replace the gasket. If the threads are stripped or cross threaded, you need to have it repaired at a welding shop. They can easily fix this problem. Purchase a new drain plug and seek out a good shop.
Ask the garage for a helicoil repair.
can use a threaded rod that matches old bolt threads, that it can reach the bottom where the threads aren't pulled out, if there is none then you need to use a HELI-COIL or thread repair incerts, most automotive supply house carry them, just need a drill an bit the size for incert to do the repair
You will probably have to re-thread unless you can get a SLIGHTLY over sized bolt to thread and seal
YES, You must either drill it out and retap it to the next bolt size up are drill it out and install a heliecoil in it.
If the threads on the drain plug are stripped and the pan threads are good, you can just replace the drain plug. More often though, the threads in the oil pan that the drain plug screws into are what get stripped. If it's the oil pan, there are still a number of pretty simple options: There are oversized plugs you can buy, rethreading kits with inserts or self-tapping plugs. And there are rubber expanding plugs that are almost foolproof. It is your choice as to how you want to fix it. Go to your local auto parts store and look at your options. Whatever you do, do not use a silicone sealer to fix it.
