Water can stain marble by seeping into its porous surface and causing discoloration. To prevent water stains on marble, it is important to seal the surface regularly with a marble sealant to create a protective barrier. Additionally, wiping up spills promptly and using coasters under glasses can help prevent water stains on marble surfaces.
Vinegar doesn't normally stain marble, it etches it. The only way to fix it at this point is to sand it out. It needs to be done professionally.
Marble itself is not toxic. However, when cutting or grinding it, the dust can be damaging to the lungs. It should always be done using water and proper ventilation.
I've never tried that as it's not generally done. Staining is usually done before sealing. You'll have to remove the Thompson's before you stain unless it has been long enough that the Thompson's is no longer effective. To test to see if the surface will take stain, spray some water on it. If it beads up, it will not accept a stain.

Take a cloth and dampen it with hot water. Using a small amount of powder oxyclean applied to the damp cloth, gently rub the stain. After you're done, you would never even know there was a stain!
To remove blood from flannel sheets, first soak the stained area in cold water for about 30 minutes. Then, apply a mixture of mild detergent and cold water to the stain, rubbing gently. Finally, wash the sheets in cold water and air dry to prevent setting the stain.

Bitumen or tar is an organic substance that repels water. The stain should therefore first be softened in an organic solvent (petrol or gasoline will do this but this should be done out of doors and away from any flame source) and as much of the bitumen as possible removed. Once this is done a hand cleaning substance (such as 'swarfiga') can be applied and worked in to the stain then the area rinsed in warm water. After this a good wash in a washing machine with normal household detergent should bring the stain out. Alternatively you could take the shirt to a reputable dry cleaners and ask them to remove the stain.
With all the research I have done, I am pretty sure that you can use slate cleaner on marble.
