A P-trap is a curved pipe in Plumbing that traps water to prevent sewer gases from entering a building. It works by creating a water seal that blocks odors and allows waste to flow out while keeping gases from coming back in.

You usually have to unmount it and get at the bottom.

What is a ptrap?

The shape of the drain. A P trap drains out the wall. It looks like a P laid on it's side. An S trap drains in the floor. Again if you laid the S on it's side.

Dropped watch down drain bathroom sink turned off the water removed the ptrap retrieved my watch replaced the p-trap turned the water back on. Now there is no water coming out except a drip...?

Probably rust and minerals that came loose when you turned the water off and plugged the screen in the spout. Unscrew the screen the the end of the spout and see if that doesn't fix it.
