To replace a small screw bulb in a lamp, first unplug the lamp for safety. Allow the bulb to cool if it was recently on. Carefully unscrew the old bulb by turning it counterclockwise. Insert the new bulb by turning it clockwise until it is securely in place. Plug the lamp back in and test the new bulb to ensure it is working properly.
