K'NEX is a construction toy sold in kits of rods & connectors with a variety of accessories, even motors, in some cases. K'NEX pieces can easily be put together to form nearly anything you can imagine. Some kits even come with pieces to allow you to build anything from a Sesame Street character to a rollercoaster. The pieces are made of plastic, and they are incredibly versatile - the longer rods are even flexible! Invented by Joel Glickman in Pennsylvania in the early 1990s, K'NEX continues to be American-made while now being available in some 25 countries. At least 36 patents protect K'NEX kits and designs.
