Narendra Modi has not been convicted of any corruption, but his government has worked hard to water down anti-corruption measures in the state of Gujarat. In effect, Gujarat now has no independent anti-corruption body, so investigation of corruption is weak. There is a long list of acts of corruption the Gujarat government is accused of being involved in or reluctant to probe. Many of these involve theft of Natural Resources, including natural gas and limestone.
