King William IV of Great Britain and Hanover (1765-1837) was the third son of George III and did not become king until 1830.
As a young prince, he had 10 children by actress Dorothea Jordan (or Bland), who he never married, but he had no legitimate heirs to the throne. He was succeeded by Queen Victoria, his niece.
He reportedly had at least one other child out of wedlock, a son (also William) who died in the Royal Navy in 1807.
