Opinions:AnswerNo, he was not. When troubles came along like the Pacific Scandal he fled. Alexander Mackenzie was a much better prime minister because even after he lost the election he did not run away but stayed in Parliament till he died. As well Macdonald had said he would always want to have two types of school because he did not want his child being taught by a Roman Catholic teacher because they had the wrong beliefs! Answer

Honestly I think he was. He saved Canada and as for the school issue it's perfectly fine to not want your child to be taught under beliefs that aren't of your own family.

he was my great great great great great great grandfather of course ive never met him but i know a lot about him yes he way have ran away at times but who doesnt? everyone runs away sometimes and he did save Canada

Sir John A Macdonald is the best prime minister because he created Canada and was the first prime minister of Canada. I think he was a very good prime minister.

John A Macdonald was a terrible prime minister, mainly because he was drunk most of the time. His preference for consuming alcohol over attending to the affairs of state resulted in several crises which otherwise could have been easily averted.
