Henry VIII had many problems, but apparently his main problem was that he wanted to have a male heir to inherit the throne after his death, and he did not understand that his sperm decided the gender of his children.

In order to have a son Henry VIII married eight wives, and only Jane Seymour provided him with a son, called Edward. Unfortunately, Edward died from TB at the age of 15!
