Iosif Vissarionovich Dzhugashvili (Joseph Stalin) was pronounced dead at 9:50 p.m. on 5 March 1953 at his dacha (country house) outside Moscow. The cause of death was reportedly a cerebral hemorrhage, however there is speculation that he was poisoned by the U.S. or British.
