Patients should make sure their doctors are aware of any medications that they are taking, even over-the-counter medications. Patients should not take aspirin, or any other blood-thinning medications for ten days prior to surgery.
The patient's use of drugs that thin the blood (anticoagulants). These medications include warfarin (Coumadin) and aspirin. The patient should stop using these medications for three days prior to extraction.
They are asked to discontinue aspirin-based medications for a week before surgery and all non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) two days before the procedure.

Depending on the medication and the reason it was prescribed, typically 30 to 60 days should be sufficient.
It should be started 3 to 4 days prior to the onset of menses and should be continued for as long as postponement is required. At the same time it should not be taken for more than 10 to 14 days at a stretch.
You should stop aspirin or any other anticoagulants at least 5 days prior to surgery. Your surgeon should instruct you specifically when to stop it though.
I belive a few days but, I can't tell you for sure. I would say 2-4 days.

To determine the date 4 days prior to the 4th of September, you would subtract 4 days from the 4th. This would bring you to the 31st of August. Therefore, the date 4 days prior to the 4th of September is the 31st of August.
About 3-4 days prior, this way, the color has had a chance to "settle." If the highlights are done a week or so prior, you may have a little re-growth showing already.
