(I'm assuming we are talking about King Henry VIII of England)
He did not make his own religon; he broke from the church because the Pope would not grant him an annulment from his current marriage because his wife could not give him a son that would one day replace him as the king.
Henry VIII set up the Anglican church when the pope wouldn't give him a divorce.
It depends how you look at it. Henry was a Catholic until the Pope refused to grant Henry a divorce. So Henry set up his own church, the Church of England, with Henry being in charge of it.
No Henry VIII didn't create the protestant church it was Martin Luther in 1517 Henry VIII only made it officialMArtin Luther actually set up the lutheren church though !
The pilgrims were mad at King Henry VIII because he was the leader of a catholic church in England, well the only church actually. They had no choice but too go to his church because it was the only one in town. So they eventually got him to sign the magna carta and the mayflower compact in order to set free on a over sea voyage to find land of their own and start their own christian church.
SPunk over the builders
NO
Well the church is founded on Christ. However the organisation of the Anglican church was set up by King Henry VIII of England.
between 1534 and 1536. he created the church because of his divorce to Catherine of Aragon for Anne Boleyn. Catherine was a parth of the Catholic church, so this led the king to split with the Catholic Church and found his own church, the Church of England, which in turn set the stage for the English Reformation and for religious battles which lasted for centuries.
It was actually King Henry VIII and he actually did not create the church of England. The king did however seperate it from the Roman Catholic Church. He did this because he was dissatisfied with his marriage to Catherine of Aragon due to her inability to bear him a son and he was infatuated with Anne Boleyn, a younger woman. Because the Roman Catholic Church and Pope Clement VII refused to give the King an annulment (an end to his marriage), Henry VIII took religious matters into his own hands, separating the Church of England from the Pope's control and annulling his marriage to Catherine.
because he wanted to divorce catrine of aragon but the pope would't let him
Henry VIII did not set up the navy, it was set up under Charles II.
The Act of Supremacy, which set up Henry VIII as head of the English church, was enacted in 1534. Henry broke away from the Church of Rome because he went to the Pope to ask for a divorce from his first wife Catherine but the Pope would not perform the procedure. As a result Henry left and set himself up as head of the church in England.
