From what I can find she contributed financially to the organization since 1954 and then in 1988 did work overseas with her own personal presence with Unicef. In 1989 she was awarded as a Goodwill Ambassador of Unicef. She continued to be very involved tip 1992 when she found out she had appendixal cancer, and she died in January of 1993. So, physically she was involved for 4 years, and she contributed for almost 40, about 38.
