yes as long as you're ok with the idea that they might have babies.
Crayfish are very good at getting out, so it's best not to fill a tank to the top.
One problem with keeping crayfish as pets is that most crayfish can not be in the same tank. The biggest one usually becomes dominant and injures or even kills the others. Another problem is that if a crayfish and their tank are not properly taken care of it can begin to smell very bad.
Climb out of Tank -- I have a red claw crayfish ( cherax destructor ) and it climbs a lot, also likes to make holes and attack my fish. Do not keep slow moving or long fined fish in the same tank, as the crayfish will attack it and soon eat it.
Crayfish of the same sex are incredibly prone to fighting since they are very territorial animals. If you have a large tank with plenty of hiding places, it is possible that the two can coexist peacefully.
You can start a small war against other crayfish tanks.
its possible but i have a crayfish who his food is floating he gets it but no they can not get out cause they are use to the water
If the mom crayfish is dead, you should remove her from the tank. Leaving her in the tank can cause bacteria to grow, making the babies sick.
Crayfish of what I have seen in the wild and done myself caterpillars will fall in the water and be eaten and in my tank I feed my crayfish meal worms
Yes, there are several species of freshwater crayfish available in the pet trade. A single crayfish can be kept in a 10-15 gallon or larger tank.
You don't mention the species of either, so it is impossible to tell if one species will try to eat the other or not.
A Crayfish tank is a fish tank. Weel you will need to make it a hut. Id use Lego's or bricks. Dont use any type of metal. It could kill the crayfish. The next thing you need is a oxygen blower. Without it the Crayfish would probaly die. Lst is a TIGHTLY cosled lid. Crayfish are superb escape artist. And dont keep the aquarium light on too long. The Crayfish is noctunal.
if its a young crayfish and a big cichlid itll eat the crayfish if the crayfish is a adult they will pick on each other as long as the cichlid isn't big enough to put the crayfish in its mouth and the cichlid isn't slow enough for a crayfish to catch
