While tarantula hawks possess a powerful sting that can incapacitate larger prey, they are not typically a threat to small dogs. Their venom is designed primarily to subdue tarantulas and other insects, and while it can cause significant pain to larger animals, it is unlikely to be fatal to a healthy dog. However, a small dog could potentially have an allergic reaction or be injured if it provoked the wasp. It's always best to supervise pets in areas where these wasps are present.
Survive? Yes. Snap out of it? No. It can take months for the spider to recover and only with a great deal of care which includes giving it water via an eye dropper.
I am afraid that a hawk will kill my 10 lb dog.
A big dog.
Hawks are pests for several simple reasons. They are predators! If you have a flock of chickens, a pet cat or a small pet dog, these are all fair game to the hawk. Once a hawk has figured out you have these animals, they will not give up until they either kill it or you take away their food source, or you remove them from the equation.
Sudafed can kill a small dog. An ingredient in Sudafed can be toxic to dogs, cats, and other animals. Even small amounts can cause illness.

If the dog is about two pounds or less, and the hawk is hungry, the hawk will take the dog. If the dog is slightly bigger(up to 5lbs), the hawk will kill it, dine on it, then leave it. Either way, dog dies.
