In short, no, the praying mantis are not poisonous. They do have sharp spikes on their forelegs which they can use to strike with if harassed. For the most part, they are pretty safe to handle. If you notice them standing on their back legs and getting into a defensive position, then you know are they getting ready to strike.A pray mantis is not poisonous is used to catch them all the time and i never got a rash or anything like that.I think you mean a praying mantis, and not, they are not poisonous.
Praying mantises eat all types of insects and more there favorite food that my praying mantis likes are flys, spiders, crickets and soft back grass hoppers.I usually take mine out side and put it were there are alote of wasps or flys so I don't have to catch its food
For what i know praying mantises are not deadly at all. They would not need venom to kill because they catch there prey in an iron grip so they can't get away. Then they kill them. From what i know is praying mantises are not deadly not deadly to large things such as a human, unless its 6 foot long, which is impossible.
all insects have 6 legs
