Slugs are attracted to beer (or more specifically the scent from fermenting yeast).A As such, an old trick used by gardeners in slug control is to build a slug beer trap.A,B A plastic or ceramic beaker is placed in the ground and filled with home brewed beer. Slugs then climb the rim of the container and they fall in and ultimately drown.

if their anything like slugs, i would say stale beer and anykind of fruits
Slugs can be harmful to plants as they feed on leaves and stems, causing damage to the garden. To protect your garden from slugs, you can use barriers like copper tape or diatomaceous earth, set up traps with beer or citrus peels, and encourage natural predators like birds and frogs. Regularly removing hiding spots and keeping the garden clean can also help deter slugs.
To get rid of slugs in your hostas, you can try various methods such as setting up beer traps, sprinkling diatomaceous earth or coffee grounds around the plants, or using iron phosphate-based slug baits. You can also encourage natural predators like frogs, birds, or ground beetles to control the slug population. Regularly checking your plants and removing any slugs by hand can also be effective.
Snails and slugs love to eat hosta. You can sprinkle snail bait to keep them away or used crushed egg shells or swimming pool sand to keep the snails away from your hosta.
Yes. And they would in beer to because it would fizz the slug up and then it wont move.
It should but if it doesnt work you can try making a small circle around your plants with salt. This acts as a barrier so the slugs have no way of getting over the salt.
i think slugs, they look like slugs but without any shells!
Outside of an explosive like a firework, nothing 'blows' slugs up. However, salt does damage and often kill slugs.
No they like freedom to move.
No. The usual garden slugs eat vegetation. Leeches, on the other hand, do suck blood, and they look a lot like slugs.
I have resd that if you place a cup in the ground, lip level with the groung and fill it with beer the slugs will go into it and die. After you get rid of them, scatter Diatamaceous Eath in and around the bed, the slugs will not cross it because it cuts their bellies. It will not cut your skin, even if you walk on it. I foumd it at Lowe's or Home Depot. Hope it helps.
Alcohol is poisonous. Slugs, being small, are more affected, so beer will kill them. Alcohol is a poison to humans, too, and if you drink too much, it will kill you, too. Beer in moderate doses is OK, but too much is bad.
