I would assume that if any wolves lived in the Missouri wilderness, there would be very few. Mostly in the northern, forested and uninhabited regions. If you want a chance at seeing a wild wolf, go to North Minnesota; they have the most wolf packs in the United States (9packs). Yellowstone also has some wolves.
