The same way most other bugs do, under your doors if there is a gap or Through a wall anywhere there may be a break in the foundation and Plumbing goes through the drywall etc. The important thing to determine if you see many is the source-interior or exterior so you know where to treat for them. They tend to move along the baseboards but must have moisture as they are crustaceans. If they are in large numbers outside, water will displace them, just like ants and force some in. If you regularly see them in a bathroom for example, you may have a leak and the source is most likely a wall, etc. there. Then the solution is to remedy the leak and make area less conducive. If they are simply from exterior, treat there, check your door gaps and another helpful trick. Set up a mouse glue board along the wall on either side of all interior doors for a few days. That will tell you what's coming in and you might be in for a shock. Small flies are another sign of stagnant water-something else to look for in case you have an interior plumbing issue somewhere. Presence of both would indicate it's an inside problem.
