I had the misfortune to have the back of my hand sliced open by a Locust tree thorn while cutting the grass underneath it. Although it was immediately disturbing to look at my bleeding hand, I simply treated it as any cut that does not seem to require professional medical attention. I cleaned and bandaged the wound. It healed normally with no other effect.

The permanent treatment for your foot pain will depend on the extent of the injury. If this was a previous injury that seems to have returned, I would advise seeing your physician, as he or she would be best qualified to tell you how to treat the specific injury.
If you are experiencing pain from an injury that you had years back it may be difficult to treat. You should see a foot specialist to see what can be done, but it is likely that orthotics for your shoes may assist in relieving this discomfort.

It depends on what kind of foot injury that you have. I have heard that when there is a sprain, it is better to walk on it and exercise for it to heal, but if the injury is a break, you need to stay off of your foot.
In most situations thorns don't contain poisons themselves, but that is not always true. If your foot was pierced by a thorn it is possible to get an infection from the thorn piercing deeply into your foot. Make sure to wash the foot thoroughly, and if any pain or swelling arises - seek immediate medical attention.

No. It is a fungal infection of the foot.
I don't know when you posted this but I did the same thing a year ago and it took quite a while for the pain to go away. My guess is that there is something in the honey locust needle that is an irritant. I also thought there was something still in my foot, that's how bad it hurt. What really helped while my foot was getting better was to wear shoes that had a thick rubber sole. I have a pair of Land's End clogs with the canvas upper and a super thick rubber sole, they were the only shoes I was comfortable in. I still wear them to this day when I go out in my pasture (which is where I got the injury) just in case, the needles don't go through it sole. Hope this helps, good luck.
