It depends. I heard of snails that eat other snails. And I suppose that water snails are kind of omnivorous because they eat the fish pellets that are mostly protein. However, garden snails eat vegetables like lettuce and carrots.

They're herbivores. Rarely you can find Carnivore snails. But a snail is definitely a herbivore! :)
