One of the signs that you have a worm is a slow internet/network connection, although having a slow internet connection doesn't necessarily mean that you have a worm . Trojans; a Trojan horse is software that pretends to be a legitimate program in order to gain your trust. For example you might download a program from the internet that is supposed to give you weather updates in your area, but in reality that program steals your information without you knowing it or initiates advertisements on your computer in the form of undesirable pop ups, you know, the ones we all hate. Some Trojan programs even provide remote access to your computer for some hacker who created the program.
