Crayfish taste primarily with their antennae and other sensory organs located on their bodies. These sensory structures detect chemicals in the water, helping them identify food and navigate their environment. Additionally, crayfish have taste receptors on their mouthparts and legs, enhancing their ability to sense their surroundings.
The Antennules in a Crayfish, being short while the Antennas are long, are used to taste food.
The antennules and antennae
The crafish's antennules are the smaller antennas and they aid in balance and provide taste and touch. The larger antennas called the antennae are much more sensative then the antennules, providing the crayfish stronger sense of taste and touch.
this is because it is sanitary and they like the taste.

If they are raised in clean water they should be edible. I have not had the chance to eat marbled crayfish yet, but am thinking of adding them to my aquaponics system in my greenhouse, and plan to try eating them also. I have eaten a lot of local crayfish that are no bigger than the marbled crayfish.I sure hope they taste good. I plan to eat some.
My older crayfish died and my littler crayfish has not yet how do/can they die?
