This is about the Turban snail. I have heard a lot of people have problems with this particular snail. This hardy snail does well in an established aquarium with ample places to hide. The aquarium should ideally have a large area for grazing and live rock. Since the Turban Snail uses calcium to build its shell, an adequate calcium level must be maintained. It is very sensitive to any level of copper-based medications and prefers a low nitrate level.
The Turban Snail can spawn in captivity, normally in mature reef aquariums. The Turban Snail will expel their gametes, temporarily making the water cloudy. In a few months tiny Turban Snails will be visible on the glass and substrate when the lights have gone off. As they grow the Turban Snails will venture out into bright light during the day.
This information came from Liveaquaria.com, and more information can be found on the web about these great creatures. They need lots of algae if you want them to live, and no more than 2 -3 should be in a 20 gallon aquarium I have heard from other Web sites.
If sufficient algae are not present, the Turban Snail's diet should be supplemented with dried seaweed.
Hope this helps.

african snails die by not eat a enough food.
Almost all snails die before the colder seasons.
No, they will die.
African snails, like all complex organisms can become afflicted with diseases, deformation, and will eventually succumb to the effects of aging. So, in short, there are multiple things that can cause an African snails to die.
Snails do not change their shells ever. They keep their shell up to the day they die.
no not really
Purple die isn't made out of snails it is made out of lots of chemicals. Some girls and boy say it is but know its not . Your friend ,Rebecca
Snails are more likely to die in hot weather because they are sensitive to extreme temperatures. Heat can lead to dehydration and stress for snails, which can ultimately be fatal. Cold weather can also be harmful to snails if it is too extreme, as they may hibernate to survive.
No, they would dry out and die.
simple........it will die. :-(
Actually aquatic snails must breath out of water. They breath from the surface.
Snails eventually die if their is salt near them. You cant kill a snail by pouring salt on them or but just killing them hardly. (stepping on them).
