What is the difference between between a Trojan horse and a virus?

A Trojan Horse virus comes into you computer, and your computer usually won't expect it. It then send many other different and horrible viruses into your comp. Look up the story of the Trojan Horse if you still don't understand.

A trojan horse infects your computer and allows for a 'backdoor' connection to be made to another computer, thus resulting in someone being able to access your files unconditionally. Viruses on the other hand infect your computer and can do a multitude of things. These list from harmless pranks, like changing your screensaver, to the more severe kind whereby they rename and delete files, crash the computer, format the hard drive and worse.
