Application for what? Commercial Driver's License - job application - security clearance - what? How is the application worded? Does it ask you to list ALL arrests and/orconvictions? If so, you'd probably better. If you don't, and they find out later - all the worse for you.

Are you required to put a DUI on a job application if the DUI is nearly 20 years ago?

A DUI conviction on your DMV driving record NEVER goes away. Your driving record is a compilatioon of your entire driving history. To be safe you should include it. If it is 20 years old and you haven't had any subsequent offenses it probably won't count against you after all this time, AND you may possibly get points for honesty from a future employer.

When filling out an application what to put if been arrested for a DUI but not convicted of it?

When filling out an application, it's important to be honest while also understanding the specific questions being asked. If the application asks about convictions, you can indicate that you have not been convicted. However, if it asks about arrests, you should disclose the DUI arrest, as it's typically considered part of your history. Always check the application guidelines and consider seeking legal advice if you're unsure how to proceed.

Are you required to put a DUI on a job application if the DUI happened 8 years ago in Colorado?

If you were arrested, convicted and sentenced, you had better. Especially If you are applying for a CDL, anywhere, you had better disclose it because they will check all interstate DMV records. In this day and age of computerized records you very seldom can get away with not disclosing the information. Best thing to do would be to ask the prospective employer if such information would be relevant. An old DUI arrest may not be of any interest to them for whatever job you're seeking.
