Career development is more future oriented while employee development is more present oriented. Employee development is something like training and development.

Career development is ensuring that the company has people of caliber to meet the strategic goals of the organisation.

However, the main difference here is the time frame. Career development is for later while employee development is more current and can be applied to the present job at hand.

Career Development is more geared , in an organization, toward both organizational and employees interest. We generalize while using the meaning to reflect the importance of career development in any organization to the development of the orgnaization and progress itself which comes with dual benefit to the employee (much engagement ) and the organization ( extra progress and profits). Personal Development has impact on me where I will see around me , what are the gaps I should close to progress in my development/career path in an organization. My organization might not considering my engagement, I fly on my own, then find opportunity to fly out of it, after getting all the chances of development without being recognized by my company. Career Developmen Plans nowadays are well structured, monitored as well with increased business productivity and profit with more BIG EYES on high performers who are important to the organization to take care of them. Career Devpt + Personal Development ; will work together to become one if the organization do recognize the importance of (career staff ) and plan for their development through approapirate career and engagement plans.
