Cons: 1. Low Wage - bartenders do not make much in the way of an hourly wage, in most states bartenders are paid minimum wage. Bartenders actual incomes come from tips. Depending on the type of bar tips can vary.

2. Turnovers - there are a lot of turnovers in bartending. Most bartenders, even ones doing a good job, find themselves looking for a new job for a change on enviornment.

3. Changing Employment - even though it is a skilled job going from one establishment to the next can be difficult as their are different rules, policies, and prices at every bar or club. Environments can vary and take some time to adjust to.

4. Enthusiasm - as a bartender you want to make good tips. In order to make good tips no matter what time of day or type of day you always have to have a friendly smile and an open ear for the customers. This can be hard to do everyday.
