How dangerous is police work?

It is not a dangerouse job. It is however, a job that requires some sort of common sense. The academy teaches you what the city wants you to do on the job. However, if you encounter yourself in a situation where the bi laws are not covered then you will have to use your wit. My father was an active cop he never drew his weapon while on the job. He always talked to people with respect and they helped him out.
